What a load of old shit haha!
Anyways, my latest adventure happened last night.
INSPIRED.
So after months of listening to the damn records and following her fashion and whatnot, I found myself in the same room as her last night. (ok, so it was at the O2...).
I knew it was gunna be good, but i didnt quite know HOW good.. Bitch tore it up!!!
Firstly, Support act was a band called, Semi Precious Weapons. They were brilliant.
The lead singer is as gay as you get. He prances around in leggins, the hottest jacket you ever seen and a skimpy cut up top that his nipples poke out of occasionally. Guy just doesnt give a 'motherfuck' and what a bitch he is! The bassist was CRAZY! I mean, 'what the fuck is this guy on'. The first 5 seconds on state and the dude was on his back with his legs in the air. Never seen anything like it. To sum this band up here's a lyric, 'I cant pay my rent, but im fucking gorgeous'. Check them out.
I'll just say before i get into it. Fans are dedicated. Ive never seen so many girls/guys in outfits. They made such a effort it was kind of... nice? I saw a man in a black, like, all over suit with his face covered with a crown on. Mimicking the red thing she wore at the MTV awards. Crazy.
So Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour is like an artpiece. Every tiny little square inch to the set design, musicians, clothing, what's gunna entertain us while Gaga get's changed, the story of the Monster Ball. EVERYTHING. Has been looked at in such great detail that the whole thing is just phenominal.
Gaga locks the doors to keep all the 'freak's out' and takes us on a journey to the Monster Ball. The greatest party on earth. The first song opens with this blinding intro, which you have to youtube if you dont. I will have it on facebook soon enough 'dough. She acts, the backing singers act. It like a musical. After every few songs or so we get another skit. The skits are soooo good i could listen to them over and over and over and not get bored.
She has this amazing moving dress that she wears during 'So Happy I Could Die' it had me mesmerised. You MUST youtube that too.
As a drummer you always pay special attention to the guy behind the kit. This guy is called Spanky. George 'Spanky' Mccurdy.
Dudes a beast. He didnt overdo it but his licks and fills here and there sounded great. His tiny little solo between a song was sweet as.
I came away so determined and focused cos thats where i want to be. Im simply so so far from good enough and i need to work my hands off to get there and pull a finger out and, motherfucker, i will.
Lady Gaga, you inspire alot of people and you've definitely inspired me. I will so be there next time you pop overseas but your shows are one that CANNOT BE MISSED.
